  • Do you visit these castles and take these pictures? Awesome work btw...I really love your posts. Keep up the good work!
  • I've visited many castles (including this one), but most castles I post I've never visited. If I post something from the UK, Korea, or Jordan, I've probably been there, otherwise, I've probably not. Also, none of these photos are mine. I posted the sources of where I found them.
  • If you aren't some sort of professional castle scholar, have you ever thought of putting together some kind of published compilation? I would love a coffee table book on the world's castles by Hoohill.
  • I'd buy it - these posts are awesome.
  • There might be some trouble getting rights to all the photos, but yeah this would be pretty awesome.
  • If you are interested in the period of the Anarchy, try reading the historical fiction novel "The Pillars of the Earth."
  • Would defend with my life.
  • Awesome! I have actually been to this one! The little village near it is also really cute. Driving through the English countryside to get there is also very lovely.
  • Hoohill, you make Reddit a better place.
  • Aha! I live here! 🙂 - in the village of course, not the castle! Lovely views from Exmoor too if you fancy a walk when you visit! 😀
