  • Really great work!
  • Thanks a lot for sharing, it's truly art! How do you know which colors to fill in? Is it just by ear or there's something more to it?
  • In photos like this, most of it is just what I fancy. Sometimes, depending on photography (like civil war era photos) you can determine some colors pretty easily just by luminosity levels. When it comes to military photos, most of it can be done by research and reference photos for the greatest accuracy.
  • Amazing work! Thanks for doing it. You're an artist Sir.
  • Very impressive! You do good work.
  • This is great work! It would definitely be appreciated in /r/bulldogs , you should cross post it there!
  • But I don't think its a bulldog,
  • It very well could be. Many popular dog breeds have been drastically physically altered in the last 100 years, due to selective breeding. You can see some of the biggest changes here . Certain traits have been exaggerated - from shortened muzzles, to longer/shorter legs, even the way a dog stands. Edit: upon closer inspection, it may be an older example of a boxer, rather than a bulldog.
  • Curious, do you credit the original photographers that you take these photos from? I'd like to see more of their work. Great colorization!
